Afghanistan – Iran – Iraq

This essay fills a rather serious gap in the study of the reality of three countries marked, between the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st, by conflicts and social movements of strong intensity. Based essentially on facts and documents and on a reading that cannot be conformed to conventional schemes, it also brings back onto the scene that sort of "stone guest" represented by the working class and its parties, traditional or otherwise, in Iran and Iraq above all: it thus resurfaces an important section of society that a certain Western prejudice and a consequent journalistic approximation have relegated in a completely virtual way to the margins of political processes, only because these forces did not fit into the mold of easy news, all handed over to Islamic insurgencies. The author's analysis and theses may not be shared, in whole or in part, but they open up a vast field of discussion, providing tools for knowledge and reflection on the condition of countries in which "the tables have already started to dance" .
