History of Syria
We owe the first Sira (biography) of the Prophet Muhammad to Muhammad Ibn Ishaq who was born in Medina in the year 85 AH (704 of the Christian era) and died in Baghdad at the age of 65.
Ibn Ishaq collected a huge quantity of traditional stories on which the other great biographer of Allah's Messenger, Abu Muhhamad Ibn Hisham, worked a few decades later.
Ibn Hisham reworked and commented on the text, providing us with what, since Ibn Ishaq's work has been lost, is considered the most important biography of the Prophet.
This work that we present to the Muslim and non-Muslim public is the attempt to create a text that is easy and easy to read for everyone but nevertheless correct in its use of sources.

Author's note and preface
In 1995, mindful of the Prophet's saying: "An Umrah performed in the month of Ramadan is like a pilgrimage made in my company", I was in Saudi Arabia visiting the sacred places of Mecca and Medina and, reflecting on the little knowledge that many Muslims, Italians and second generation young people, had regarding the spiritual and historical story of the Prophet Muhammad and the lack of easy-to-read texts, I decided to do what was in my power to overcome this serious inconvenience.
I wrote from memory, without being able to consult the reference texts until my return home. The result was a simple and captivating narrative that was nevertheless rigorous from a doctrinal and historical point of view.
The book was published the first time with the support of the Islamic Center of Macerata, the second time re-proposed in the Nuova Medina series, the third time in 2012 as part of the UCOII campaign In honor of the Prophet Muhammad. This fourth edition is offered with a new illustrated graphic version and, until August 31, 2023 at a very low price.
All good is from Allah, all mistakes are mine.
