This story is a tale of courage and determination. The girl decided to follow her faith, even if it meant facing the judgment of others. It is an example of how faith can be a strength that helps us overcome difficulties. An Italian girl converts to Islam in March 2023. Initially, she only wears the hijab at home for fear of judgment from others. After some time, he starts wearing it outside the home too, albeit with a bit of fear. The parents do not agree with their daughter's conversion, and when they see her wearing the hijab, they give her very negative criticisms and judgments. The girl is very hurt, but decides to continue wearing the hijab, because it is a personal choice she made for Allah.
ssalam aleykum wa ramatullahi wa barakatu,
I would also like to put my hijab story.
In March 2023 I did my shahada, super convinced, without anyone knowing.
My mother was in hospital at the time for a heart problem. Shortly thereafter, Ramadan began. Since I live alone , I started fasting and praying, looking on different sites. And shortly after I started wearing the hijab , lhmdulillah. At first I only put it at home because I was afraid of other people's judgments. I liked it right away.
Then a few days later I went for a walk in the forest with my hijab, super happy and also a little scared of people's eyes. I made many Du'a so that I could also put it in the town where I live, without having to be ashamed. And a week later, perhaps, I calmly put it on and said to myself: "Allahu Akbar!"
What does it matter to others how I dress and whether I wear a veil? I do it for Allah and no one else. And lhmdulillah, I did it.
A couple of months later my parents came to visit me. Having said before that I had converted (they did not agree at all). The moment they saw me with the veil, I heard criticism and very bad judgments that I didn't think could hurt me so much. But inshallah, maybe they will accept it or not, that's my choice.
Your testimony might help girls who are considering the idea of wearing the Hijab , offering them an authentic and real point of view. Besides, they might as well promote greater understanding and acceptance within our communities and society at large .
